early tuesday at work

• just a quick post here......i carry a little pocket knife with me - its a lockblade that holds a single razor blade in it - i use everyday for something - it is very handy to have.....well one of my coworkers came in my office this morning and wanted to borrow it for a few minutes to do something in their office.....i dont have a problem with that at all
• i was ready to let her borrow it and i said "and what is the magic word?" and she starts into this elaborate "if it is okay may i borrow your pocket knife for blah blah blah...." again i said "and what is the magic word?" at that point she just said "forget about it" and stormed out of my office.....
• in detailing this in my mind i asked myself "would i expect myself to say 'please'" the answer is of course i would - "would i expect virtually anybody else* to say 'please'" the answer is of course i would - "should i spend another moment trying to figure her out?" the answer is of course i should not....*"virtually anybody else" if the current governor of our state or the current president of our nation wanted to borrow it or have i wouldnt "expect" them to say "please" but they are of such a high caliber that i am certain they would say "please" anyway....part of their normal behavior.....apparently not part of this persons normal behavior.....
