Saturday afternoon/early evening

• well me and chickenwing went to a couple of stores this morning with the kiddos and looked around at alot of hiking items and hiking backpacks - those things are freaking expensive - around 130.00 plus
• needless to say I did not buy a backpack today I am going to attempt to borrow one from somebody for the first time me and him go backpacking
• he assured me I would fall in love with it, and if that is correct then I will end up getting my own backpack. He suggests against borrowing someone elses because if its a good one and has been used that it has conformed to thats persons body and likely uncomfortable on mine. But 130.00 is still a good chunk of change to cough up just to try something out. So we will see how that all goes. He says he is thinking about going for an overnite hike sometime in September or October of this year. Im kinda looking forward to it already - should be alot of fun - I will keep you all posted on it as it develops.
• I was about to start on drawing some pirate ships for JC's birthday coming up when it started raining (a summer scattered pop up) and it is still raining so I cant really start on it (in the back yard) until it stops raining. Isnt that the way it goes....we all say "we need rain" over and over and here I am already saying I wish it would stop because Im trying to work on something in the back yard.
