Tuesday the 22nd
Well this was my first day back to work from a three day spiritual retreat and I am happy to say that my desk was not slammed with folders when I got there this morning - that seems to happen all too often when a little vacation is taken. Around this neighborhood Tuesdays are trash day, so I usually pull the trash container down in the morning before I leave for work. Well yesterday I pulled it down in the evening because I was testing the trash pickup company to see if they would take everything I had placed by the curb and next to the trash container. You see I did a little bit of cleaning up yesterday and basically had two larger pieces of trash that I could have easily taken to the dump, but thats not much fun and I'm really not sure where the closest dump is to our house, maybe HWY 92? So anyway I had the trash bin there with the top not closed all the way because we had so many bags of trash in it. I also had an old (cheap) wooden table sitting upside down with a large plastic snap top container that had long since served its purpose. The top of this thing was busted in two, the latches had been long since busted and the container was labeled in black marker as "MISC. CRAP" Clearly items that were not worth keeping around, and in the ever constant battle for more room in a house many of these things were chunked to the trash. Well the good news is that the trash people took it all!!! I came home from work and all that was by the curb was the empty trash container. I was happy about that one. I feel like I sorta snuk one under the radar. Changing subjects here - Jennifer leaves for her retreat this Thursday and will return sometime Sunday evening. I know that she is looking forward to it and she certainly deserves a little break from the normal around here, I think that this retreat will be very beneficial to her much as my retreat was beneficial to me. Well I feel I have rambled on enough for now. Lets see if anybody reads this stuff.
